Truscott Rossman has once again been ranked the most effective public relations firm in the latest biennial survey of Michigan Capitol insiders conducted by MIRS/EPIC-MRA. The firm received 38 percent of the vote, more than twice the percentage of votes of any other public relations firm.

Truscott Rossman this week began delivery of the latest and most ambitious Michigan Legislators’ Guide to Lobbyists and Media, commonly known as the “Lobby Guide.”

Truscott Rossman has released the first mobile app edition of the “Michigan Legislators’ Guide to Lobbyists & Reporters,” its popular directory of Capitol lobbyists, reporters and policymakers.

Truscott Rossman, Michigan’s premier bipartisan communications firm, started a new designated-giving tradition this year by offering employees $250 each to donate to a nonprofit organization of their choice.

“It was important to us that each employee had the chance to choose which charities to support financially,” said Truscott Rossman CEO and Principal Kelly Rossman-McKinney. “Each member of our team has at least one organization they feel a personal connection to and we’re glad to help contribute to those causes.”

Gov. Rick Snyder’s “Extreme Makeover” of the state is the theme of Truscott Rossman’s 2012 calendar, which today goes out to more than 5,000 recipients worldwide.

Award winning Michigan journalist Charlie Cain died Saturday at Detroit’s Henry Ford Hospital following a brief, but valiant battle with cancer. Cain, 60, had been a Detroit News reporter and editor, starting as a copy boy while attending Michigan State University. He was a journalism graduate of MSU and served as managing editor of the State News.
