Truscott Rossman has once again been ranked the most effective public relations firm in the latest biennial survey of Michigan Capitol insiders conducted by MIRS/EPIC-MRA. The firm received 38 percent of the vote, more than twice the percentage of votes of any other public relations firm.

Michigan is STILL not making the grade after receiving an overall D grade for infrastructure two years ago, the Michigan Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) announced today.  Now a report released by the American Society of Civil Engineers shows that the dangerous and expensive decision to delay the repair of roads and bridges across Michigan and the rest of the country costs individual families more than $1,000 per year. Award winning Michigan journalist Charlie Cain died Saturday at Detroit’s Henry Ford Hospital following a brief, but valiant battle with cancer. Cain, 60, had been a Detroit News reporter and editor, starting as a copy boy while attending Michigan State University. He was a journalism graduate of MSU and served as managing editor of the State News.

Almost 15 billion gallons of foul, raw or partially treated sewage, enough to fill nearly 25,000 Olympic size swimming pools – has been dumped into Michigan's rivers, lakes and streams since January 2011, according to a statewide analysis by the Michigan Infrastructure and Transportation Association (MITA). Sewer discharges result when overloaded and aging sewer systems are routinely flooded by heavy rains.
