Michigan is STILL not making the grade after receiving an overall D grade for infrastructure two years ago, the Michigan Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) announced today. Award winning Michigan journalist Charlie Cain died Saturday at Detroit’s Henry Ford Hospital following a brief, but valiant battle with cancer. Cain, 60, had been a Detroit News reporter and editor, starting as a copy boy while attending Michigan State University. He was a journalism graduate of MSU and served as managing editor of the State News.
