TR’s interns are tomorrow’s PR pros

maxresdefaultWe love our interns at Truscott Rossman, and we show it by throwing real PR work at them from Day 1. You might call it “tough love.”

Interns attend new client meetings, coffee-fueled planning sessions, late-night events and everything in between. They’re expected to speak up and be part of the discussion – and the work.

The relationship benefits both them and us. In addition to getting paid, interns gain valuable experience and start building relationships within the industry. They get to see whether agency work is what they really want to do.

On our end, we get to take potential employees out for a test drive. All of Truscott Rossman’s entry-level hires over the past three years have been former interns. We didn’t bother posting on Monster or LinkedIn because we knew we already had top-notch talent in-house.

And if we don’t hire, don’t fret. We have an alumni network that stretches from California to Boston, with stops in D.C., Atlanta, Chicago and more.

We’re proud to be one of Michigan’s fastest-growing PR firms, and we recognize interns help fuel our success. We’re taking applications for fall term now. Check out these Tips for Applying, What NOT to Do, and then head over to the postings page to apply.

Our interns will be “telling it like it is” in this space over the next two weeks. They’ll provide the good, the bad and the … well, you get the picture.
