Amy heads our Grand Rapids Office and is a public relations powerhouse with three decades of corporate, nonprofit and agency experience. Whether her clients need counsel in a crisis or in announcing their next big initiative, they trust her to get the job done right. She is a certified crisis counselor and, in 2017, was recognized as the Public Relations Professional of the Year by West Michigan PRSA.

Amy heads our Grand Rapids office and, with 30 years in the industry, she’s a familiar face around town.

Throughout her time in corporate, nonprofit and agency PR, she has developed and implemented comprehensive strategic communications plans and community relations programs and has provided communications counsel and support for clients in local government, education, biomedical research, tourism, economic development, business, health and human services, cultural institutions and law.

Amy joined Truscott Rossman in 2014 from the branding and advertising firm Hanon McKendry, where she served as director of corporate communications and public relations. Previously, she was senior consultant at Wondergem Consulting where she served as executive speechwriter and consultant to clients in the public, nonprofit and private sectors. She began her career in PR at Amway and moved from there to National Easter Seals in Chicago where she was director of corporate marketing, overseeing the corporate marketing team and managing relationships with $1 million-plus national sponsors.

Amy is a Public Relations Society of America certified crisis counselor, past president of the West Michigan Public Relations Society of America and was named the regional chapter’s Public Relations Professional of the Year in 2017. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Calvin College.
