Josh Pugh

Public Affairs & Digital Strategist

Josh is a talented, creative communicator with over a decade of experience in a wide variety of roles at a wide variety of organizations in Michigan Democratic and progressive circles.

He bridges our digital storytelling and public affairs practices in a unique role at TR, putting his experience and relationships to work every day to move mountains for our clients.

He’s earned his reputation in Lansing and statewide for aggressive advocacy on behalf of left-leaning politicians and causes, but has a demonstrated record of broad success in communications and public affairs, as he currently is an active board member and spokesman for Lansing Common FC, a local soccer team and community-focused 501(c)3, and won a PACE Award from CMPRSA for his work on the first reelection campaign for then-Rep. Tom Barrett (R – Potterville).

Josh joined Truscott Rossman in 2021 from the Michigan AFL-CIO, the state’s voluntary federation of labor organizations, where he was communications director. He’s consulted independently and with Grassroots Midwest. He’s also spent time working at For Our Future, the Michigan Democratic Party, Progress Michigan, and Obama for America. He is an alumnus of Alma College and proud Lansing resident.
