Stephen Olschanski

Stephen joins Truscott Rossman’s Lansing office full-time after a comprehensive and successful 9-month internship which saw him contribute to some of the firm’s largest clients from day one. A knack for writing and graphic design launched his Truscott Rossman experience and he continues to provide new, insightful analysis and skillful design to the firm.

A graduate of Michigan State University with a dual-major degree in journalism and political science, he previously interned for former state Senator Tonya Schuitmaker and was a reporter with the Capital News Service and The State News. During his time in the Senate, he helped scores of residents from Michigan’s 26th District while drafting speeches and letters for Senator Schuitmaker.

As a reporter, he cut his teeth on a variety of beats from MSU sports and East Lansing City Council, to state and national politics. He covered both the 2016 Republican and Democratic National Conventions from the ground in Cleveland and Philadelphia.

He is a native of Livonia and a graduate of Livonia Stevenson High School.
