Tessa, a native of New England, began her career as a reporter. She covered education, politics, and more local news for the Warwick Beacon newspaper and WPRO radio in Rhode Island.

Tessa later transitioned into government, serving under former Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo. Tessa developed digital and social media content, often playing a key role in emergency communications for the governor throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. After Raimondo became U.S. Commerce Secretary to President Joe Biden, Tessa moved to Michigan to continue digital management for Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist.

Prior to joining Truscott Rossman in 2024, Tessa was a member of the Public Relations team at Michigan Medicine. She managed media relations for various areas of care, including high-profile departments like the Rogel Cancer Center and Kellogg Eye Center.

Tessa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism, minoring in political science, from Emerson College.
