SINAS DRAMIS ATTORNEY ELECTED TO LOCAL AND STATEWIDE BOARDS
Tom Sinas joins Brain Injury Association of Michigan and Grand Rapids Bar Association boards
Grand Rapids, Mich. (May 6, 2015) – The Brain Injury Association of Michigan and the Grand Rapids Bar Association recently announced that Thomas Sinas, attorney at Sinas Dramis Law Firm, has been elected to three-year terms on their respective boards of trustees. Sinas, a trial attorney who specializes in personal injury, auto no-fault, and bicycle law, was elected to fill one of six open seats on the BIAMI board at the association’s annual meeting on May 2. He will fill one of three open seats on the GRBA board beginning July 1.
Sinas joined the Lansing-based Sinas Dramis Law Firm – founded by his grandfather in 1951 – when the firm opened its Grand Rapids office in 2013. He came to Grand Rapids after serving with Minnesota’s premier state prosecution office on a special assignment to prosecute complex financial crimes such as racketeering, mortgage fraud, and identity theft. Prior to that, he practiced with the national law firm of Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi, LLP in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Sinas serves on the board of the Legal Assistance Center of West Michigan, is a committee member with the Justice Foundation of West Michigan and is a member of the Michigan Association for Justice (MAJ) and the Coalition Protecting Auto No-Fault (CPAN). He is a 2014 Avvo Client Choice Award recipient and winner of the American Association for Justice – New Lawyers Division Excellence Award in 2008.
Sinas earned both a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan, graduating with highest honors and high distinction. He obtained his law degree magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School. He lives with his family in the historic Heritage Hill neighborhood in Grand Rapids.
