The Rossman Group Appoints Megan Brown as Senior Account Executive

LANSING , Mich. – Megan Brown is moving from the governor’s office to Lansing’s premier public relations firm, The Rossman Group.

“Megan’s background in state government and valuable experience in media planning and crisis communication will be a tremendous asset to our team,” said Kelly Rossman-McKinney, CEO and founder of the firm. “We look forward to putting her expertise to work for our clients.”

Brown was deputy press secretary to Governor Granholm, where she served as a spokeswoman to the governor, executing communications and media planning to advance Granholm’s economic plan. Her areas of expertise include economic development, education, renewable energy, and transportation. Highlights of her tenure with the Granholm administration include serving as the governor’s media liaison on a jobs investment mission to the Middle East, and at the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver, CO.

Prior to joining the governor’s office in January 2006, she held a publicity internship at Simon and Schuster Inc. in New York, NY. Brown is a graduate of Michigan State University.

“Working for The Rossman Group gives me the opportunity to continue collaborating with and representing a class act,” Brown said. “I am looking forward to this new challenge and venture.”

The Rossman Group specializes in issues management, crisis communication, litigation communication, media relations, community relations and ballot initiatives. Last year, for the third time in a row, The Rossman Group was named the “Most Effective Public Affairs Firm” by capital insiders in the MIRS/EPIC-MRA survey.
