PRSA East Central District honors Truscott Rossman with Merit and Diamond awards

Lansing, Mich. – Michigan bi-partisan strategic communications firm, Truscott Rossman, was recognized for exemplary work by the Public Relations Society of America’s East Central District 2016 Diamond Awards panel. Truscott Rossman received two Diamond Awards for successful campaigns with Great Lakes Health Connect and Sinas Dramis Law Firm, and a Merit Award for work with Byrne Electrical Specialists.

The East Central District of PRSA hosted its 39th Annual Diamond Awards competition to recognize outstanding public relations campaigns in 2016. Winners were announced in January.

The Diamond Award for Truscott Rossman’s work with

Great Lakes Health Connect recognized the firm’s top-notch execution of their Flint health IT infrastructure investment news conference held last February. The event kicked off GLHC’s $250,000 commitment to strengthen and improve the region’s health IT infrastructure to enhance healthcare coordination and communication for Flint residents well into the future. The news conference generated nationwide media coverage reaching both consumers and healthcare professionals.

Truscott Rossman was honored with a second Diamond award for their community relations and event planning strategy for the Sinas Dramis “Lids for Kids” bike safety event in Grand Rapids last June. The event was aimed at educating children and their families about the importance of bike safety and equipping them with the top tool to prevent head injuries – a properly fitted helmet. More than 400 Grand Rapids-area children were fitted with free helmets at the 2016 event.

Additionally, Truscott Rossman received a Merit Award for their work with Byrne Electrical Specialists when the Rockford, Mich.-based manufacturer announced it was building a new plant and expanding operations in nearby Lakeview.

The East Central District of PRSA represents members in 17 PRSA chapters in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Western and Northwestern Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Kentucky.
